Working On The Kitchen - April 9 & 10

We spent the entire weekend putting together drawers, putting on fronts,
 and sorting through millions of IKEA parts...
so that we could get things moving a little quicker
(and save a little money where we can). 
It may not look like a lot of work, but believe me -
we are exhausted after two straight days of it. 
(This isn't the final picture. 
My thumbs hurt too much to get the camera out again.)



The one thing I now have,
after working on this kitchen,
is total empathy for any IKEA customers
trying to do the same thing. 
It is really hard work, and really frustrating.
(And I'm supposed to be a "kitchen expert."
I feel bad for the people that have no clue!)

In other news, the countertops have been measured,
 and should be ready to be installed in a couple weeks. 
Also, D continues to work almost every
night priming as many of the walls as possible. 
So, even if work isn't being done after 5pm
on weekdays and nothing is happening on weekends,
 we are making something happen on our own to
move things along.
