It is time...

So, everyone thinks we are a little crazy.

Bad economy...blah, blah, blah.....such a hassle.....did you win the lottery or rob a bank?....relationship breaker......blah, blah, blah.

Everyone has an opinion. But it is time for us to make a change.

We have been wanting a little bit more room, and a little less home maintanance ever since...well, ever since we had j, really. We love the neighborhood, have great stable jobs, and do not want to leave town right now. We searched for and looked at possibly hundreds of homes with a realtor in the area, regularly for over three years, finding nothing that fits our needs. Plus, if we were to sell our house now, it would be a major loss for us - seeing that the housing market here is one of the best in the U.S (eye roll).

So, for the last year we have been meticulously planning a very large remodel project on our current house. It has been a very frustrating and lengthy process, with a lot of learning about the politics of city boards and neighbors opinions, and when trying to save a buck isn't worth it. I'm sure we are in for a LOT more learning as we continue through this. But, we are willing to give it a shot to get the result that we want and the house we planned for our lifestyle. The plans are almost complete, builder selected, permits about to be pulled, and there is no turning back now. (Unless we want to just walk away from it like half of the people here are doing these days. Just kidding. We weren't brought up like that.) Say a prayer for us, that we make it through to the end. It will all be worth it right?
